Brooklyn Museum of Art Entry Addition
To create a more engaging museum that would become a prominent civic focus in Brooklyn, the BMA built a glass enclosed new entry set in a landscape with paved and grass seating steps, a programmed water fountain, and encompassing passerelle. The extensive use of a structural glass, stepped, complex geometry roof marked a first in New York City and is an icon for the institution.
